A Medical Mission to Colombia…

A personal message from Rick and Vicki Werkman…

Later this spring, March 24 to April 4, 2020, Rick and I will be participating in a mission project to Colombia, which is organized by Medical Ministry International (MMI). Team members include a family physician, a dentist, a chiropodist, an R.N., a lab technologist, a podiatric/dental assistant, an interpreter, and general helpers.

We are asking for your help, both in prayers and for financial support. The purpose of this message, however, is not personal, but a request to assist in the procurement of medications. We have covered our personal travel and accommodation expenses. Many medications are cheap and easy to obtain in Colombia. Others, however, are difficult to acquire, and/or are expensive, and therefore we hope to bring these with us.

Goal for the Mission

Our goal is to be able to fill and bring 5 hockey bags full of medications, podiatric wound care and dental supplies. You can assist us if you have any supplies or instruments which you no longer use in your office/clinic. We will gladly pick up any of these items.
