What’s a Shin Splint?

Shin splints make themselves known by creating pain on either side of the leg bone. Ouch! They are caused by muscle or tendon inflammation. Shin splints are related to excessive foot pronation, but also may be related to a muscle imbalance between opposing muscle groups in the leg.
Here’s what you can do to help prevent painful shin splints:
- Proper stretching before and after exercise
- Corrective orthotics to reduce/eliminate pronation
- Learn more about shin splints.
Talk to your Chiropodist today about leg, joint, or foot pain. Life is hard when you’re in pain – and even harder when you don’t have to be. Think about it.
